When Sugarbird founder, Janinne Brunyee, was thinking of a name for her new marketing company, she was inspired by the fauna and flora of her country of origin, South Africa, especially the industrious Cape Sugarbird. The hardworking sugarbird’s purpose is to pollinate the country’s majestic national flower, the protea. And what an important job that is.
The sugarbird challenges us to consider our own purpose. What is the single-minded focus that allows us to leave the planet a better place? This challenge applies to all, whether you’re a for-profit business, a nonprofit or an individual looking to brand yourself.
At Sugarbird Marketing, we’re committed to working with purpose-driven organizations to bring their “big ideas” to life. How? We help define their unique message and then we use storytelling to bring this message to life across all platforms including their website and social media using a wide range of content. We help drive audiences to this content by making sure it is discoverable and by ensuring that it is delivered to the right influencers, including the media.
We are also committed to supporting women-business owners rise to create economic opportunities within their communities. One of the ways we do this is through The List, a directory of women-owned business in Seattle.
